About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate General Counsel - Commercial to play a pivotal role in leading and scaling global commercial efforts. This high-visibility, hands-on position is at the intersection of legal, sales, and strategy, with a focus on supporting go-to-market initiatives and accelerating growth. The successful candidate will be a trusted legal advisor to senior leadership, responsible for negotiating strategic and complex customer agreements, and building processes to support the evolving business. Key responsibilities include evaluating and redesigning workflow and contract management systems, structuring and negotiating a variety of high-value commercial agreements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive revenue while managing legal and operational risk. Applicants must have a J.D. from an accredited law school, be licensed to practice law in the US, and have a minimum of 10 years' commercial legal experience, with a strong background in negotiating SaaS and technology contracts. The role requires a team player with exceptional people skills, a pragmatic focus on business objectives, and the ability to manage risk and deliver business-focused legal advice. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in optimizing contract workflows, legal operations, and documentation, and be adept at managing competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of IP ownership, data protection/privacy issues, and experience in global compliance, particularly in the context of SaaS and AI technologies, are essential.
