Buffalo, NY, US 3 days ago Requisition ID: 1449 Salary Range: $24.00 To $26.00 Hourly The HR Assistant supports both corporate and production site functions in a medical technology manufacturing environment. This role delivers HR administrative support to the Global HR department, as well serve as the HR point of contact for employees in the AirSep Corporation facility in Buffalo, NY. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and understands the unique challenges of a regulated production setting. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Performing administrative duties, such as maintaining HR records, I-9 documentation, and employee files. Provide administrative support for talent acquisition by coordinating new hire orientation and onboarding. Coordinate employee recognition events and wellness initiatives as part of the Buffalo Engagement Committee. Maintain proper employee records and leaves of absence to assist HR department. Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws. Ensure all employees receive required HR-related training. Respond to employee inquiries and escalation sensitive matters appropriately. Assist with workers’ compensation documentation and follow-up. As a member of the Safety Committee, routine safety audits and inspection of plant floor. Support open enrollment and benefits administration. Assist with invoice coding for HR vendors. Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities Work Environment This position operates between a professional office and a production environment. The employee will frequently move between locations and must be comfortable navigating a manufacturing floor with appropriate PPE. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, twisting and occasional crawling. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs., occasional heavier lifting. Occasional pushing, pulling and handling of materials. Travel No travel is required. Required Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent 1–3 years of related experience Preferred Education and Experience Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field Familiarity with HRIS systems, timekeeping, and manufacturing environment Additional Eligibility Qualifications None required for this position.
