Strivector's premier client (a well-known market leader in their space) is hiring for the following full-time direct hire position.Position OverviewAs a Plant Engineering Manager your roles and responsibilities will include: The client is seeking a Plant Engineering Manager to lead the technical and engineering functions at its Topeka manufacturing facility. This person will oversee plant engineering, maintenance, capital projects, energy management, reliability, and technical team development. The manager will play a key role on the plant's Strategic Leadership Team, driving operational performance, continuous improvement, safety, quality, food safety, and long-term capital investment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead a multidisciplinary technical team, including Maintenance and Project Engineers.Drive plant engineering and maintenance performance against key plant KPIs.Develop and manage the facility's capital and maintenance/departmental budgets.Develop and execute the plant's 5-year strategic capital plan.Lead capital projects and ensure successful implementation.Lead plant energy management and optimization projects.Partner with EHS/EOHS and Quality teams to ensure contractor compliance with safety, quality, food safety, and sanitation requirements.Develop technical training programs for new systems, equipment, and processes.Ensure equipment/process changes meet design specifications through appropriate Experimental Manufacturing Orders (EMOs).Support Quality Assurance, Food Safety, GMP, and other plant initiatives.Develop direct reports through coaching, career planning, and leadership development.Drive continuous improvement and technical excellence across the facility.Manage contractors and vendors and support negotiations as needed.QualificationsMost importantly, you need to be a passionate Plant Engineering Manager who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Plant Engineering Manager would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or another related technical field.8+ years of manufacturing experience, particularly in engineering or project management.5+ years managing capital and departmental budgets.3+ years of people leadership/supervisory experience.Experience with ERP systems such as SAP.Experience with collaborative digital tools such as Google Suite.Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree or MBA.CPG or food-processing manufacturing experience.Strong plant engineering/operations leadership background.Data-driven decision-making experience.Strong contractor/vendor negotiation skills.Knowledge of TPM, AM/PM, predictive maintenance, or reliability programs.Experience with energy optimization and plant sustainability initiatives.Strong ability to prioritize projects and drive results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.We understand that even if you are a seasoned Plant Engineering Manager you may not have all the skills listed here.Compensation: Based on Experience.
