Additional info: Hot Springs area - field work not inpatient. General information: Will you accept a traveler with 1-year experience? Yes. Will you accept a first-time traveler? If they have experience in home health and hospice. Travelers must live > 100 miles away from facility. Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a traveler. Patient types: home health and hospice. Patient ratios: approximately manage a case load of 20-25 patients.

Required certifications: BLS, valid driver's license. Required education: completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing; registered nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing. Skills required: Oasis, hospice philosophy, infection control practices, wound vacs, wound care, picc line dressing changes, port access, IV infusions, drains, critical thinking skills, catheter insertion, drains. Ability to drive at night. Support on the unit: CNA: yes - provided to patient in home. Charge nurse: N/A. Phlebotomy: nurse draws lab in home. IV/VAT team: nurse provides. Resource nurse: N/A. RT: N/A. Hospitalist: N/A. Charting system: Epic. Remote floating: no. Orientation: (facility and unit) we orientate in the field. Office located in basement of the hospice house. 224 Elk Street, Rapid City, SD 57701. Scheduling: weekend rotation: every third weekend. Will they be on call? If so, what is that schedule?
