Requirements:

• Active state certification/licensure required for caseload
• Bachelor’s degree required (emergency teaching permit possible with degree)
• Previous experience in schools, preferably in urban settings
• Ability to create standards-aligned lesson plans utilizing formative assessment and differentiation
• Strong classroom and behavioral management skills
• Able to complete all PA clearances
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Comfortable working onsite 8:30AM-4PM, full-time with a set schedule
• Flexible with district policies and location environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction to special education students
• Develop, organize, and implement effective lesson plans to drive student progress
• Manage classroom behavior and create an inclusive, supportive learning atmosphere
