Accounting Director - Competitive Pay

Lead financial operations for a dynamic healthcare organization, overseeing accounting functions, ensuring compliance, and driving strategic financial management. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily accounting operations and financial reporting. Manage and mentor a team of accountants. Develop and improve accounting processes. Prepare and analyze cost reports for hospital operations. Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with leadership to support patient care financial goals. Qualifications: Deep understanding of accounting principles, GAAP, and financial reporting. Leadership skills to motivate and manage a team of accountants. Strong analytical skills to interpret complex financial data. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Critical thinking and problem‑solving capabilities to resolve accounting issues. Critical access hospital experience. Ability to work 40 hours per week, day shifts, with no on‑call requirements. Willingness to support relocation if necessary. Preferred Skills: Experience with Medicare & Medicaid cost reporting. Familiarity with Ohio Healthcare Assurance Program (HCAP). Knowledge of IRS form 990 filing requirements. Experience in hospital or healthcare financial environments. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. 3-5 years of hospital accounting experience.
