Gem Creole Saloon is looking for a skilled Line Cook to join our team in McMinnville, OR. As a Line Cook at Gem Creole Saloon, you will have the opportunity to showcase your culinary talents and contribute to our Southern Soul Food menu. Daily Responsibilities: Prepare and cook menu items according to Gem Creole Saloon's recipes and standards Ensure proper plate presentation and food quality Utilize knife skills, frying, broiling, sautéing, grilling, and other cooking techniques Follow portion control guidelines and maintain consistency in food preparation Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations Required Skills: Menu Planning: Ability to assist in creating and updating menu offerings Plate Presentation: Skill in presenting dishes in an appealing manner Scratch Cooking: Proficiency in preparing dishes from scratch using fresh ingredients Line Cooking: Experience in working efficiently on a fast-paced line Nice to Have Skills: Knife Skills: Proficiency in using knives safely and effectively Broaster experience Portion Control: Ability to control portion sizes accurately Company Information: Gem Creole Saloon located in a building that first housed McMinnville's original Gem Saloon since the 1800's Located on busy Third Street in the historic district Customers enjoy Southern Soul Food featuring fresh local oysters, crawfish etoufee, gumbo, fried chicken, fresh baked biscuits, beignets Award winning wine list featuring regional wines, beers, local spirits with a large selection of whiskeys and Southern craft cocktails Canidates must live in the sourounding area for comfortable comute Salary and Benefits: Minimum Salary: $36,780.00 Maximum Salary: $46,700.00 Plus Tips DEI Statement: We are committed to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace where all employees feel valued and respected.
