Associate Attorney

Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. (QPWB), a multi-office national defense firm and the largest minority owned law firm in the United States, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our Tallahassee office. This is a full-time, in-office position offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. About the Role We are seeking an Associate Attorney with 2+ years of civil litigation or insurance defense experience to join our growing Tallahassee office. The ideal candidate will have a strong litigation foundation, excellent research and writing skills, and the ability to effectively manage cases in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This position offers the opportunity to handle a diverse caseload, gain meaningful litigation experience, and work alongside experienced attorneys representing a variety of clients. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Manage an active caseload through all phases of litigation Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, legal memoranda, and other litigation-related documents Conduct legal research and assist in developing case strategy Handle written discovery and participate in fact and expert discovery Take and defend depositions Attend hearings, mediations, case management conferences, and other court proceedings Assist with and participate in trial preparation Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and other parties Maintain compliance with court deadlines and client reporting requirements Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure effective and efficient case management Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Active member in good standing with the Florida Bar 2+ years of civil litigation or insurance defense experience Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills Experience with discovery, depositions, hearings, and motion practice preferred Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced litigation environment Strong commitment to client service and collaborative teamwork What We Offer QPWB offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, including: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Employer-paid life insurance and short-term disability 401(k) with employer match Paid vacation, holidays, and personal time off Opportunities for professional growth and advancement within a national law firm QPWB is an Equal Opportunity Employer. #LI-AR1 Join a Team of Difference Makers Joining Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A.
