Clinical Nurse Educator (RN) Obstetrics

Job Summary Clinical Nurse Educator (RN) – Obstetrics – status/FTE: 0.8 full‑time. This role supports maternal-newborn education in the OB department through development and implementation of nursing education programs. Responsibilities Design, organize, implement, and evaluate generalized and focused adult learning activities and programs. Facilitate the professional growth, skill development, and competency of direct nursing care providers in maternal care settings. Collaborate with Senior Director, Nursing Operations, Chief Nursing Officer, and department directors. Develop curricula, educational materials, assessments, and competency checks for OB nursing staff. Provide ongoing education and mentorship in evidence‑based practice, fetal monitoring, and newborn resuscitation. Conduct teaching interventions and plan‑of‑care interventions to improve patient care. Qualifications Current state RN license. Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school. Experience in Labor & Delivery. Experience in Post‑partum care. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree. Fetal monitoring certification. OB, ACLS, and NRP instructor credentials. ANCC Nursing Professional Development certification (must be obtained within 3 years of hire if not already held). Benefits Charge RN and certification pay if eligible.
