Wellness Nurse Role Overview As a Wellness Nurse (LPN), you’ll play a vital role in delivering high‑quality care to our residents. You will administer medications, support daily wellness routines, supervise care staff, and help ensure each resident’s health and dignity are prioritized. Wellness Nurse Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care and supervise medication care specialists. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures per physician’s orders. Document resident care and update care plans as needed. Monitor for changes in residents’ health and communicate updates to physicians and families. Assist with resident move‑ins and orientation. Provide leadership and guidance to care staff, including performance evaluations and coaching. Participate in emergency response procedures and ensure safety standards are upheld. Maintain accurate resident records and ensure compliance with community policies and state regulations. Promote resident independence, wellness, and participation in daily activities. Foster a positive, respectful environment for residents, families, and team members. Wellness Nurse Qualifications Active LPN license in the state of employment. Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; experience with Alzheimer’s/dementia preferred. Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Compassionate, patient‑centered approach to care. Strong observational skills and attention to detail. Annual flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted).
