About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in related field License: Must hold an active nursing license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, TCAR/TNCC Must-Have: Charge experience, patient ratio experience, charting system experience (Cerner preferred) Description: High-Level ICU and PCU Registered Nurses needed. Will care for ICU patients in a new PCU. The unit will support medical/surgical, telemetry, PCU, and critical care patients. Travelers may be expected to float to various areas if census is low. Patient ratios are 6:1 for Medical/Surgical, 2:1 for Critical Care. Must start in early October. Certification in TNCC/TCAR may be required within the allotted timeframe. Skills required include managing ports, arterial line management, and care of ventilated patients. Experience with central line care and management is essential. Knowledge of interpretation of arterial blood gases and management of dysrhythmias is necessary. Candidates should be familiar with isolation precautions and IV insulin protocols. Experience with telemetry monitoring and care post-cardiac procedures is important. The unit will provide interdisciplinary support from various services. It is critical for candidates to possess strong communication and teamwork skills. All applicants must meet the submission requirements outlined for onboarding. Candidates will engage with a daily census of patients that may vary.
