Job Overview Location: Bridgewater, New Jersey, United States. Hours: 40. Pay: $97,240 – $145,600 USD. Role Summary The Store Manager II develops, leads, and contributes to the growth and profitability of the Consumer Business by managing a portfolio of stores, overseeing deposits, loans, fees, and expenses, and delivering a legendary employee and customer experience. Key Responsibilities Develop and sustain deep customer relationships, putting the customer first and referring them to the appropriate specialists. Set and manage store and individual performance goals, aligning priorities to meet store metrics and shareholder value. Hire, coach, and develop the store team; set performance objectives, provide feedback, conduct performance reviews, and make compensation and disciplinary decisions. Manage store operations for medium to complex stores, ensuring efficient budgeting, expense control, and revenue growth. Serve as a peer mentor for developing store managers and provide subject‑matter guidance across functions. Identify and resolve operational and regulatory gaps, applying risk‑management processes and escalating high‑risk encounters. Originate loan applications, manage loan conditions, conduct closings, and maintain an active NMLS registration. Act as the primary point of escalation for customer complaints and cross‑departmental issues. Customer Accountabilities: Lead, coach, and develop a service and advice team to improve customer experience and financial confidence. Ensure customer issues are handled per resolution guidelines and participate in negotiations when necessary. Promote the bank’s brand in the community through participation in business groups, initiatives, and fundraisers. Build relationships by addressing customer needs while maintaining a customer‑centered organization. Provide oversight of store premises and ensure professional, inviting environment. Optimize scheduling to meet customer demands. Shareholder Accountabilities: Create store‑specific strategies to grow the business, using reporting to identify opportunities for deposits, investments, and loan growth. Partner with specialists to grow and advise new and existing customers. Manage the store budget to achieve expense and revenue objectives. Advance the OneTD initiative by building awareness and cross‑line engagement, especially through digital channels. Engage prospects to develop the relationship through needs‑based conversations. Identify and nurture relationships with personal, small business, and center‑of‑interest customers. Drive operational excellence and ensure due diligence for accurate customer transactions. Uphold risk management culture, controlling operational and regulatory risk. Employee/Team Accountabilities: Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing team, ensuring consistent legendary customer experience. Set and monitor team objectives, conduct performance reviews, and communicate progress with stakeholders. Recruit a diverse, qualified workforce and promote an inclusive environment. Maintain compliance with HR policies and conduct risk escalation when needed. Share knowledge and support cross‑function collaboration. Act as a brand ambassador for the business area internally and externally. Education & Experience Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. At least 4years of related experience in retail, customer service, or financial services. 4years supervisory, leadership, and coaching experience. 4years of proven business‑development skills. Small‑business and consumer lending experience. Strong financial analysis, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Notary license preferred. Additional Competencies Expert knowledge of bank product lines, services, and store operations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and collaborative skills with all internal and external stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple store locations and diverse customer bases. Licensing & Regulatory Requirements The position falls within the definition of a Loan Originator under RegulationZ and a Mortgage Loan Originator under the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008. The candidate must be eligible for registration as a registered mortgage loan originator with the NMLS and meet all federal background and credit checks. Physical Requirements Perform sedentary work continuously. Operate standard office equipment continuously. Respond quickly to sounds continuously. Sit frequently; stand, walk, and move safely in confined spaces occasionally. Occasional lifting/carrying up to 25lbs with and without storage. Occasional squatting, bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing, reaching overhead, pulling, pushing, twisting, and concentrating for long periods.
