Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, supporting patient daily living activities and assisting with clinical and clerical tasks to ensure efficient department operations. This role requires strong teamwork, communication skills, and the ability to work various shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with routine activities of daily living such as hygiene, feeding, ambulation, and positioning.
• Perform range of motion exercises and provide skin care.
• Collect and process patient specimens including urine, stool, and sputum.
• Obtain and record vital signs, weights, and pain assessments.
• Communicate patient status and report changes to licensed professionals.
• Perform patient care procedures such as incentive spirometry, pulse oximetry, and blood sugar finger sticks.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic tests and assist with admissions and discharges.
• Maintain and clean equipment, prepare rooms, and provide post mortem care as needed.
• Assist in emergency situations and support rehabilitation therapists.
• Perform clerical duties including answering phones, data entry, and coordinating supplies and equipment.

• Valid CNA license.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR certification at hire.
• Strong experience with EPIC electronic medical records system.

• Experience working in hospital or acute care settings.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments.

• Must be able to work all shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Work environment includes hospital setting requiring adherence to infection control and safety protocols.

• 8-hour shifts with rotating schedules covering days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
