Associate Professor NTC (Woodlands) - Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, McGovern Medical School

McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston is inviting applications for a full‑time 1.0 FTE, non‑tenure clinical (NTC) track Associate Professor NTC position in the Department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery. The selected candidate will support the department’s mission to educate health science professionals, discover and translate advances in the biomedical and social sciences, and model best practices in clinical care and public health through research, teaching, clinical service, administrative activities, and other services. Position Key Accountabilities Participate in the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery practice at Greater Houston Memorial Hermann locations, including a UT general practice call team for coverage. Collaborate with Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery physicians who join the practice. Involve in recruitment, selection, and hiring of new or additional physicians to the group; provide feedback on office operations, hiring staff, and logistics; participate in education and training of medical students and residents. Support the research mission of the department and university by: Facilitating reasonable and appropriate access to patients for research staff. Assisting with collecting research data, including biological specimens. Providing information and education on ongoing research studies to potentially eligible subjects. Qualifications The selected candidate must have a Texas Medical License or be eligible for a Texas Faculty Temporary License. Required or preferred board certification/eligibility. Required or preferred minimum 20 years of clinical experience or a post‑residency statement.
