Sr. Embedded Firmware Engineer

Salary: $168,100 - 261,500 per year Requirements:

• We require 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• We require 5 years of programming experience in at least one software language.
• We require 5 years of experience leading design or architecture for new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• We require 5 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• We require experience as a mentor, technical lead, or engineering team lead.
• We require a bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• We prefer knowledge of computer architecture, operating systems, and parallel computing.
• We prefer knowledge of system performance, memory management, and parallel computing principles.

• We are looking for someone to work on software for server components and integration into EC2.
• We expect you to develop firmware that initializes, monitors, and manages custom machine learning accelerators at AWS scale.
• You will collaborate with our hardware, test, and manufacturing teams to build a coordinated software package that supports qualification and rapid software deployment.
• You will develop software in C, C++, Python, and Lua that is maintainable, improvable, well documented, tested, and reusable.
• You will help create scalable firmware for machine learning acceleration servers focused on initialization, monitoring, debugging, testing, qualification, and manufacturing.
