The Nurse Assistant/Home Health Aide Instructor is responsible for teaching Certified Nursing Assistant knowledge and skills in the classroom, lab and clinical setting. Key Responsibilities Deliver dynamic classroom and hands‑on clinical training for students enrolled in the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program through demonstrations, simulations, and real‑world healthcare applications. Guide and support students in successfully completing required coursework, including Mandatory Reporter Training, Bloodborne Pathogens, Medical Terminology, Basic Anatomy, and HIPAA compliance. Maintain high standards of accountability, professionalism, and student performance in both classroom and off‑site clinical settings. Utilize a variety of instructional resources and teaching methods to ensure compliance with state training requirements and enhance the learning experience. Accurately maintain student Training Achievement Records and ensure all state‑required documentation, reporting, and compliance standards are met. Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support learners in achieving program competencies and certification readiness. Instructional Topics Include Infection Control and Safety Practices Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) Vital Signs and Basic Patient Care Skills Common Disorders and Body Systems Communication and Professionalism in Healthcare Employability and Workplace Readiness Skills Requirements Minimum Requirements Current state certification, licensure, or accreditation as a Registered Nurse (RN). Minimum of one year of experience supervising Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in a long‑term care setting. Strong communication and instructional skills with the ability to effectively teach and translate clinical knowledge into measurable learning outcomes. Valid driver’s license and eligibility for company‑sponsored vehicle insurance. Preferred Extensive practical knowledge of trade and teaching experience. CPR/First Aid instructor certified. Knowledge Required Knowledge of methods needed to instill appropriate behavior as well as work and study habits in young adult students; documentation techniques and time management; and the ability to read, comprehend, interpret, communicate, and execute instructions or directives fluently in English. #J-18808-Ljbffr Career Systems Development Corporation
