Quality Technician (2nd shift)

We are focused on the health and safety of our employees, partnering with our customers, giving back to the communities we live in, and protecting our natural environment.Position Overview: Responsibilities include but are not limited to, supporting production's quality needs through use of Romer and CMM inspection machines and various measuring tooling such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection tools. The employee must process a working knowledge of drawings and computer programs needed to support the quality functional team.Primary Accountabilities:Component and assembled part layout in accordance to drawingFinished goods auditLine Romer for quality concernsSupport/Engage of deviationsSupport Calibration system (inspection, test equipment, functional gages)Strong team environmentComplete capability studies on critical, major, and minor characteristicsProgram development in PPAP principles and practicesDocument & record data collected on inspection forms legiblyKeep work area safe and clean (5S – Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)Promote quality workmanship that meets and/or exceeds customer expectationsAssist with housekeeping in NCM areaSupport operations with NCMR process, inspect partsFollow ITAR processes when appropriateAssist NCM area with material handling, inventory, non-standard jobs, etc.Perform other duties as directed by ManagerEducation and Experience Requirements:1-2 years experience working in a similar position is preferredSkills and Abilities:Quality plans and controls knowledgeGauging knowledge neededCMM knowledge preferredStrong communication skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsOverall knowledge of preventive vs. predictive maintenance techniquesGood attendanceDetail orientedMust have the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and push, pull 50 poundsMust have the ability to stand, sit, and walk at least 75% of the time.Inclusive Benefits Package:Medical, dental, and vision coverageWellness programs401K retirement planShort-term disability (STD)Generous paid time offCompany-paid life insuranceAnd more!Equal opportunity employer/protected veterans/individuals with disabilities.
