Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring an English Language Teacher to provide face-to-face lessons to our clients in Lexington, SC.

Job Information

• Ref: 198586/198587
• Students: 2 children ages 6 & 7 years old;
• Location: Lexington, SC 29072 (W Main St. and Columbia Ave)
• Availability: Weekdays from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
• Preferred start date: ASAP
• Lesson Frequency: 2 individual back-to-back 1-hour lessons, 2x a week
• Lesson Location: Lexington, SC 29072 (W Main St. and Columbia Ave)
• Current language level: Beginner
• Native and other spoken languages: German
• Student’s language needs and goals: Writing, reading, speaking

Responsibilities

• Deliver structured, age-appropriate English lessons for children at the beginner level
• Support school integration and social communication skills
• Teach vocabulary, reading, writing, and listening aligned with each child’s age
• Use engaging activities connected to students’ interests
• Encourage confidence, participation, and natural conversation
• Manage back-to-back sessions effectively with clear lesson planning

Qualifications

• To have a native or near-native proficiency in English
• To have a degree or certification in education, linguistics, or a related field
• Having experience teaching children is a must
• To have the ability to manage both individual and small-group lessons
• To have an engaging, patient, and supportive teaching style
