Regional Safety Advisor (Cromer)

Working alongside experienced leaders, contractors, and regional teams, you’ll help identify risks, strengthen safe work practices, and contribute to a culture where everyone goes home safe—while developing skills, confidence, and expertise to grow your impact over time. This is a non‑union, regular full‑time position. What You Will Do Operationalize the Enbridge Safety Culture Framework by promoting and seeking out opportunities to strengthen safety culture attributes. Contribute to the development, implementation, and sustainment of occupational health and safety programs, standards, safety cultural assessments, and training programs. Provide support to operational leadership on SIF (Serious Injury and Fatality) prevention throughout the lifecycle of managing work activities, delivering detailed analysis and assurance of high energy hazards and their control methods. Support operational leadership by reaffirming safety standards and work execution management through detailed assurance of work activities and participation in corrective action plans. Support implementation of Occupational Hygiene plans, initiatives, and monitoring, and provide constructive feedback on program improvements to the Occupational Hygiene group. Participate in small work teams on problem identification and problem‑solving to support continuous improvement of operational reliability. Who You Are Degree, diploma, or certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field. Four or more years of professional work experience in the Health & Safety field within the oil and gas or petrochemical industry (or seven years of experience if without a degree). Canadian Registered Safety Skilled designation, Certified Safety Professional, or other Professional Board Certification is an asset. A self‑starter able to lead multiple tasks and work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams. Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to influence without authority, working collaboratively with regional site partners. Demonstrated ability to be innovative, self‑managed, strategic, and to initiate and manage change. Valid driver’s license (to be verified with a motor vehicle check prior to hire). Working Conditions 70% (+/-) office environment requiring extensive computer work, networking with partners, researching technical issues, and developing plans and reports. 30% (+/-) travel, including field work and travel expectations for audits, reviews, inspections, assessments, meetings, training, and field safety support. Flexibility to work extended hours to manage work priorities, accommodate field schedules, and meet partner needs. Flexibility to travel for extended periods (approx. 10 days) and work extended hours for emergency response support.
