Clinic/Practice Assistant, Primary Care

Job Summary We are seeking a full‑time, 40‑hour Clinic/Practice Assistant to support our primary care team at 104 Endicott St in Danvers, MA. The assistant will work Monday through Friday (8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m./9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.) and may collaborate with specialty practices as needed. Responsibilities Performs administrative and clinical functions under general supervision, including: Make patient appointments and maintain appointment records. Greet and assist patients. Answer telephones, assist callers with routine inquiries, and schedule appointments. File materials in patient folders and print appointment schedules. Process patient billing forms and scan documents into medical records. Call for patient medical records and laboratory test results. Open and distribute unit mail or faxes. Type forms, records, schedules, memos, etc., as directed. May be required to accept co-payments. Handle, screen, and/or take messages related to prior authorizations, provider questions, prescription refills, and test results. Act as "Super User" for scheduling, registration, and billing systems. Provide assistance and training to others in these areas. May perform more complex or specialized functions (e.g., surgical scheduling, schedule changes/blocking) at a more advanced competency level. Other duties include basic clerical work, routine repetitive tasks, and general support for patient visits such as scheduling, check‑in, and check‑out. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Certified Medical Administrative Assistant preferred. Office experience: 2–3 years required.
