Air Export Agent

Air Export AgentCranford, New Jersey, USACavalier Logistics is seeking a full-time Export Agent to join our team. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for managing outgoing international shipments from pickup through delivery, using their good working knowledge of air freight and truck services, completing waybills for all modes of transportation, and employing strong customer service skills. Industry experience is a must and compensation will depend upon that experience. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Processing shipments for exportKnowledge of international shipping rulesHandling of Dangerous Goods and Bio-Pharma shipmentsBooking shipments with airlinesWorking knowledge of airline routesNegotiation of spot ratesPreparing and/or proofreading all associated export documentsSubmitting shipment pre-advices and export documents to overseas agentsMonitoring departures, shipments in transit, arrivals, clearance and deliveryVerifying documentation with US and foreign government regulations, export declarations, certificates of origin and related documentsProviding Proof of Delivery to customersOther duties that may be assignedRequirements:One year minimum industry experience required but three years of experience is preferredStrong customer service skills a mustStrong Outlook email organizationGood verbal and written communication skillsBi-lingual a plusStrong PC skills including Microsoft Office suiteAbility to work with demanding deadlinesAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamMust be detail oriented, thorough, accurate, and solve problems efficientlyMust be able to pass a background checkEducation:Minimum high school diploma or GEDBenefits & Compensation:Competitive Compensation – Depends on ExperienceHealth InsuranceDental & Vision InsuranceLife Insurance401(k)Employee Assistance ProgramIf you enjoy a fast paced environment, are a self-starter, have great organizational skills and are a team player - apply for this great position today.
