Artificial Turf Installation Manager

Job Description

South Hills Irrigation & Turf is looking for an experienced, motivated, and hands-on Artificial Turf Installation Manager to join our team! We specialize in high-quality artificial turf installations for residential and commercial properties, including putting greens, pet areas, playgrounds, athletic spaces, and custom outdoor projects.

We're looking for someone who knows the turf installation process inside and out, takes pride in their work, and has the leadership skills to manage a crew and deliver exceptional results. This is a hands-on leadership position —we need someone who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty while keeping projects organized, crews productive, and customers happy!

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise artificial turf installation crews on residential and commercial projects.
\n
• Perform and oversee all phases of turf installation, including site preparation, excavation, grading, base installation, compaction, turf cutting, seaming, securing, infill, and finishing.
\n
• Ensure installations meet company quality standards and project specifications.
\n
• Coordinate daily crew assignments, schedules, equipment, and materials.
\n
• Read and interpret project plans, layouts, and measurements.
\n
• Identify and resolve installation challenges in the field.
\n
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite.
\n
• Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and company leadership.
\n
• Monitor project progress, material usage, and labor productivity.
\n
• Train and mentor crew members on proper installation techniques and safety procedures.
\n
• Ensure company trucks, trailers, tools, and equipment are properly maintained.
\n
• Assist with material ordering, project planning, and jobsite logistics.
\n
• Conduct final quality inspections and ensure customer satisfaction.
\n

Qualifications

Required:

\n
• Previous hands-on artificial turf installation experience.
\n
• Experience leading or supervising installation crews.
\n
• Strong knowledge of proper turf installation techniques, materials, and equipment.
\n
• Ability to operate construction and landscaping equipment.
\n
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
\n
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
\n
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work, including lifting, bending, kneeling, and working in various weather conditions.
\n
• Dependable, hardworking, and committed to quality workmanship.
\n

Preferred:

\n
• Experience installing synthetic putting greens, pet turf, playgrounds, or commercial turf systems.
\n
• Knowledge of drainage systems, grading, excavation, and base preparation.
\n
• Experience operating skid steers, compactors, and other landscaping equipment.
\n
• Experience estimating materials, labor, and project timelines.
\n
• Experience with irrigation systems and landscape construction.
\n
