staff - Registered Nurse (RN) - Orthopedics - $31-43 per hour

Job Overview Detroit Medical Center (DMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for its Orthopedics unit in Hamtramck, Michigan. The position is a staff RN role covering 36 hours per week, with 12-hour shifts. Employment is ongoing. Sign-On Bonus & Compensation Up to $25,000 sign-on bonus , based on relevant experience. Responsibilities Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans. Delegate, assess, provide and evaluate patient care activities. Assist team members with patient care and monitor patient progress. Prepare patients for discharge and report to senior unit management. Participate in shared decision-making activities. Engage in interdisciplinary team conferences, including PT/OT/speech therapy. Maintain 1:6 RN to patient ratio with acuity-based assignments. Apply independent judgment in nursing care activities. Conduct EKG interpretation and other required clinical skills. Qualifications Graduation from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred). Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Michigan. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Experience in orthopedics or related patient care settings is preferred.
