Job Title Academic Affairs & Programs Administrator Department School of Engineering, Electrical Engineering Location Stanford, California, United States Position Overview The role involves managing course scheduling, the appointment of course assistants and graders, and overseeing the summer REU program. The administrator reports to the EE Director of Student and Academic Services and works closely with EE Associate Chairs. Key Responsibilities Oversee, review, and administer student records, making exceptions on issues of eligibility, course enrollment and program requirements. Develop recommendations and collaborate with staff, faculty and other offices to resolve programmatic issues. Provide advice to students on academic progress, program policies, career plans, accessibility, community standards. Apprise students of research, fellowship and scholarship opportunities and participate in related recruitment. Provide first line response to identify students in crisis and refer to appropriate resources. Collect and analyze data from multiple sources and prepare reports to make recommendations to enhance offerings. Develop, analyze, influence and review policies, processes and programs, advising manager and team on updates. Identify trends, perform needs analysis, and participate in implementation and testing of new technology. May develop marketing materials and strategies for program activities, assist in planning webinars and external functions. May oversee financial process administration such as reimbursements, terms and conditions contracts, vendor requirements. May train and supervise other staff, volunteers, student and temporary workers. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong written and verbal communication skills. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite. Basic analysis and problem solving skills. Customer service skills. Relevant computer systems/technology experience. Understanding of financial transactions. Ability to learn and understand compliance with legal, financial, and university policies and external regulations. Physical Requirements Frequently sit and perform desk‑based tasks; occasionally stand, walk, use fine manipulation, write by hand, lift up to 10 pounds. Working Conditions Occasionally work on weekends, evenings, holidays and flexible shifts. Pay Range $80,905 to $91,375 per annum.
