The Marine Electrician will specialize in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems on commercial and Navy ships. This role focuses on ensuring safety compliance and optimal operation of maritime electrical equipment during regular daytime hours without the need for travel.
Responsibilities
- Install electrical systems and wiring on commercial and Navy vessels
- Troubleshoot malfunctions and repair electrical faults
- Perform wiring and circuit testing to ensure system integrity
- Conduct equipment inspections to maintain safety standards
- Comply with maritime electrical safety regulations and guidelines
- Test and calibrate electrical equipment for operational readiness
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in marine electrical systems
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems and circuit testing
- Understanding of safety procedures and blueprint reading
- Strong problem solving and attention to detail
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
