Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides specialized telemetry nursing care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring, ensuring adherence to established standards of practice. Oversees and collaborates with healthcare team members to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor patients' cardiac rhythms and vital signs continuously, identifying abnormal patterns and responding promptly.
  
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  
• Educate patients and their families about cardiac conditions, treatments, and ongoing care needs.
  
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately within electronic health records.
  
• Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff while maintaining accountability for patient outcomes.
  
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements related to telemetry nursing.
  Qualifications:
  
• Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  
• Possess current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor.
  
• Have at least two years of recent experience in telemetry or acute care nursing.
  
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills.
  
• Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
