Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

Job Summary:

The Telemetry Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to patients with cardiac monitoring needs, ensuring safety and quality within a hospital setting. This role involves delivering direct patient care, assessing clinical status, and coordinating with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' clinical conditions and monitor vital signs and cardiac rhythms.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
• Administer medications and treatments following established protocols.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and procedures.
• Document care activities and patient responses in the Meditech EMR system.
• Respond promptly and accurately to changes in patient condition, including cardiac events.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current and valid State RN license.
• Possess a current BLS (AHA or Red Cross) certification.
• Maintain a current ACLS (AHA or Red Cross) certification.
• Have at least 1 year of recent acute care hospital experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Meditech EMR preferred.
• Be capable of floating to med/surg units based on competency.
