Receiving Supervisor

Essential Duties and Principal Responsibilities Maintain a safety record within acceptable goals. Ensure effective employee/supervisor involvement. Facilitate effective inter‑department and shift communications. Deliver on time service to internal departments. Maintain the department in line with budget goals. Delegate work assignments to optimize efficiency and drive continuous improvement. Investigate material flow concerns to keep receiving and warehouse operations flowing. Coordinate DRP between local warehouses and system maintenance. Work in compliance with union contract and shop rules, administering discipline as required. Ensure compliance with work instructions and customer requirements. Develop and maintain a flexible, well‑trained workforce. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Promote union and company relations to maintain a high level of morale. Process receipts, inventory control, and adjustments with department/division staff. Order and acquire necessary tools and equipment for safe and productive operation. Work with computer systems and production reports. Verify payroll, vacation, and productivity reports. Maintain operation of the Foreign Trade Zone logistics process in the receiving area. Perform other duties and projects as assigned. Additional Responsibilities Participate in an environment focused on continuous improvement and teamwork as it relates to site performance to improve customer satisfaction. Computer skills: Microsoft products and ERP/MRP system experience (preferred). Team leader or supervisor experience in a union environment. Warehouse/material flow experience. Minimum of an associate's degree in Logistics, business, or a related field or equivalent total experience.
