Production Supervisor 2nd shift

Production Supervisor 2nd shift: 2:15pm - 10:45pm Monday-Friday Job Type: Full-time Overview The Production Supervisor is responsible for the daily supervision, growth and development of all production personnel within their area of responsibility. The supervisor ensures that equipment and labor resources are utilized as scheduled in a safe and efficient manner. The supervisor is the main contact between production and production support functions (EO, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Test Lab, Planning and HR). The Production Supervisor is responsible for executing the Daily Production Schedule and is accountable, along with the flow leader and team leader(s), for the achievement of the Anoplate Corporate Operating Goals in Culture, Safety, Environmental Compliance, Quality, Delivery and Productivity. Responsibilities Identify capacity needs and temporary capacity gaps and develop plans to meet customer demand. Work with Training to ensure depth and flexibility within the department. Write employee performance reviews, measuring performance against Anoplate’s Core Values and specific delivery and quality KPIs. Prepare individual employee growth and development plans with Operations Manager and Training, based on business demand and personal growth goals. Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Lead the process of hiring, firing and promoting based on business needs and performance. Develop and administer PIPs for relevant personnel. Attend daily production meetings with Customer Service and other operations personnel to update on slips, recoveries or schedule expedites; notify CS of schedule impacts to customers. Ensure safe practices and conditions through daily observations; work with Maintenance and EHS to address issues. Monitor tank performance and review parts during processing; track tank levels, temperatures, filters, operator bath checks, and calibrations to keep baths within operating parameters. Manage attendance, time‑off requests, break times and overall time utilization. Hold people accountable to follow all processes (Traveler, EHS, Quality, Employee Handbook). Act as the first point of contact during emergencies during the shift. Ensure production is completed without compromising operator safety, environmental compliance or product quality. Increase tank uptime by maintaining processes that keep tanks, connections and exhaust systems clean; communicate with Maintenance or Lab when issues are identified. Report labor metrics in the ERP system; coach employees to meet internal labor reporting goals. Audit travelers and operators daily to ensure key processes are followed and documented. Requirements Your Skills, Knowledge & Abilities At least 2‑6 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing/lean environment. Experience Desired Experience coordinating teams or activities in a fast‑paced environment, ensuring alignment with production schedules and priorities. Proven experience in a production or manufacturing supervisory role. Strong leadership and people management skills. Ability to coach, mentor and develop team members. In‑depth understanding of production processes, quality control and safety standards. Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate cross‑functionally. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. Education HS diploma required. Computer Skills Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; able to navigate the Company’s ERP system ( AANGS ).
