Job Description

The Assistant Project Manager - Fast-Growing GC, Fredericksburg VA will be:

• Assisting Project Managers throughout the full project lifecycle-from preconstruction through closeout
• Participating in weekly site visits and supporting field teams by documenting progress, interfacing with subcontractors, and helping resolve daily issues
• Supporting the development of detailed lineitem estimates; assisting with quantity takeoffs and data entry using RS Means/Gordian tools
• Helping assemble bid packages, prepare proposals, and organize contract documentation
• Coordinating with clients, trade partners, and internal teams to schedule work, track changes, and maintain project communication
• Managing project documentation including RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and logs
• Supporting the implementation of workflows, systems, and processes as the new office continues to scale
• Representing the company professionally with strong communication, followthrough, and responsiveness

The Successful Applicant

The Assistant Project Manager - Fast-Growing GC, Fredericksburg VA will have:

• Background or hands-on exposure to civil construction, commercial interiors, JOC, or general contracting
• Foundational estimating or project support experience; comfort with learning lineitem estimating tools
• Familiarity with RS Means, Gordian, Procore, or similar platforms (preferred but not required)
• Highly reliable, organized, communicative, and proactive work style
• Strong interest in construction, problemsolving, and client service
• A team-oriented mindset with ambition to grow into future project management responsibilities
• Preferred certifications: OSHA10/30, Procore, First Aid/CPR
