Job Description

The Maintenance Technician performs advanced electrical and mechanical maintenance on manufacturing machinery, with a strong focus on PLC troubleshooting, programming, and preventive maintenance. This role ensures equipment reliability and uptime by diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a demanding industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance on manufacturing machinery, including troubleshooting and repair of 480v motor controls and wiring.

• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in an industrial plant environment.

• Troubleshoot, program, and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), with an expert-level focus on Siemens PLCs.

• Interpret and work from electrical schematics and technical documentation to identify and resolve equipment issues.

• Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment to minimize downtime and extend asset life.

• Perform mechanical repairs on machinery and related equipment, including disassembly, replacement of parts, and reassembly.

• Collaborate with operations and production teams to quickly address equipment failures and restore functionality.

• Use a dedicated maintenance shop and on-machine work areas to repair, rebuild, and test equipment components.

• Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying recurring issues and recommending long-term solutions.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and modifications performed on equipment.

• Demonstrate strong job tenure and reliability by consistently meeting expectations and showing dedication to the plant.

• Provide technical guidance and support to other maintenance personnel when needed, including sharing best practices in PLC troubleshooting and electrical maintenance.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience as a maintenance technician or maintenance electrician in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

• Expert-level proficiency in PLCs, including troubleshooting, programming, and maintaining Siemens PLC systems.

• Strong Experience in electrical maintenance, including 480v motor controls, wiring, and industrial power systems.

• Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical diagrams.

• Experience performing preventive maintenance on manufacturing machinery and plant equipment.

• Solid mechanical repair skills, including working with moving machinery and production equipment.

• Demonstrated strong job tenure with a history of reliability and long-term commitment in previous roles.

• Comfort working in an industrial plant environment, including non-climate-controlled areas and occasional outdoor work.

• Effective troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose complex equipment issues under time pressure.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in an environmental or heavy industrial setting is highly beneficial.

• Experience as a maintenance lead or maintenance supervisor is a plus.

• Familiarity with a wide range of industrial electronics and control systems.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in production and operations.

• Strong organizational skills for managing multiple maintenance tasks and priorities.

• Commitment to safety practices and proper handling of electrical and mechanical equipment.

Work Environment

This role operates in a manufacturing plant environment that is non-climate controlled, with some tasks performed outdoors as needed. The shift schedule follows a 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. 2-2-3 rotation: in one week, work Monday, Tuesday, then Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; the following week, work Wednesday and Thursday, with no more than three consecutive days worked in any week and every other week consisting of only two workdays. Technicians have access to a dedicated maintenance building where parts and components can be brought for repair, while larger equipment is serviced directly at the machine location. The environment is hands-on, fast-paced, and heavily focused on electrical, mechanical, and PLC-based systems.

This is a Permanent position based out of OKLAHOMA CITY, OK.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $72800.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
