Your Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary tests, and creating personalized treatment strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues in collaboration with physicians or independently (depending on your credentials)
• Guiding patients and their families on wellness, prevention, and disease management strategies
• Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with your practice scope

Educational Background

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Mandatory Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Kentucky
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent in your specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to secure them within 90 days)
