- Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary tests, and creating personalized treatment strategies
- Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues in collaboration with physicians or independently (depending on your credentials)
- Guiding patients and their families on wellness, prevention, and disease management strategies
- Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with your practice scope
- Engaging in follow-up and management of chronic conditions
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery
- Maintaining detailed and precise documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Kentucky
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent in your specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to secure them within 90 days)
- Exceptional clinical ability combined with a compassionate approach to patient care
- Strong communication skills with everyone involved, from patients to clinical teams
- Flexibility in dynamic, patient-focused settings
- Proficiency with EMR systems and comfort using telehealth technologies
