Registered Nurse - PACU Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for the care and accountability of a group of patients during a designated timeframe. The RN provides care through the therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and in collaboration with other health care team members. Duties are expected to align with established standards of care and the core values of the Division of Nursing. Responsibilities Conduct ongoing and systematic assessment/data collection focused on the physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status of patients. Utilize the nursing process to develop and implement patient care plans. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. Monitor patients post-operatively in the PACU for various procedures including orthopedic, neurosurgery, general, thoracic, podiatry, and GI. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff. Schedule This position operates on a schedule of 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Valid RN license in the state of practice. Completion of a degree in Nursing from an accredited institution. Prior experience in a PACU or similar acute care setting preferred. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required. Why ARMStaffing?
