Senior Director Product Management, Public Sector - Remote

Overview Join Akamai’s Cloud Technology Group (CTG) as a Senior Director, Product Management. You will lead product vision, strategy, and execution for the Public Sector vertical, ensuring compliance, scalability, and customer impact across State, Local, Education, Federal Civilian, DoD, and international frameworks. Responsibilities Define and execute product vision and strategy for Public Sector cloud offerings, existing products, and new development. Drive revenue growth by collaborating across engineering, legal, compliance, marketing, and sales to meet roadmap objectives. Lead and scale the product management function, operating strategically and tactically with a long‑term business ownership opportunity. Establish customer- and business‑centric KPIs, build business cases, and monitor product performance and adoption. Partner directly with sales and customers (including travel) to support go‑to‑market efforts and solution positioning. Qualifications 15 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. Experience defining and executing product strategies for the US Public Sector, including vision setting, stakeholder alignment, and cross‑functional execution. Proven ability to build, scale, and monetize product lines with measurable revenue growth and organizational impact. Experience leading product management efforts within the US public sector focused on cloud infrastructure and security. Strong customer‑centric mindset, problem‑solving approach, and commitment to continuous learning. Experience managing and mentoring individual contributors and growing a team over time.
