Your Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary tests, and crafting bespoke care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic conditions in tandem with physician collaboration or independently, depending on your qualifications
• Educating patients and their families about preventative care, healthy practices, and disease management techniques
• Prescribing medications and treatments in alignment with your practice scope
• Engaging in patient follow-ups and managing chronic cases
• Working alongside interdisciplinary teams for cohesive and comprehensive patient care
• Accurately documenting patient interactions within electronic health records (EHR)

Education Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner educational program

Necessary Certifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in California
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C or equivalent) from AANP or ANCC
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications or the ability to obtain them within 90 days
