Receptionist / Accounts Payable Specialist

Dann Marine Towing is a sixth generation family owned and operated tug and barge company seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist/Receptionist to join our growing team. This position is an in office position at our Chesapeake City, MD headquarters, hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors
• Managing multi-line phone calls and inquires with professionalism
• Maintain and organize filing systems for accounts payable, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices
• Assist in account reconciliation and maintain accurate financial records
• Collaborate with team members to streamline billing processes and improve efficiency
• Provide general administrative support as required, including data entry but not limited to other clerical tasks

Requirements

Requirements & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Additional education in accounting or finance is a plus
• Proven experience in a receptionist and AP specialist role, preferably in a fast paced and focused environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.) and accounting software
• Preferred experience working with Sage 100 software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer focused attitude
