Assistant Director OF Nursing

About This Role The Assistant Director of Nursing (Acute) plays a crucial role in overseeing nursing operations within the Emergency Room Service at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center. This position is ideal for experienced nursing leaders who are dedicated to ensuring high-quality patient care and effective resource management. Highlights Pay: $130,000 - $150,000/year Location: Bronx, NY Facility: Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center Department/Unit: EMERGENCY ROOM SERVICE ADULT Schedule: Full-Time, Day (8:00 A.M – 4:00 P.M), 35 Hours per Week, Monday to Friday What You'll Do Oversee daily nursing clinical operations and patient care delivery for one unit/department. Assist in developing policies, objectives, and standards of nursing service. Participate in planning, organizing, and evaluating nursing service and/or health programs. Assist in implementing organizational plans for nursing service. Oversee daily staffing, scheduling, and equipment coverage. Develop strategies to identify nursing candidates and retain staff. Assist in the development of administrative procedures and programs of patient care. Direct, supervise, and evaluate activities of nursing personnel. Prepare and make periodic and daily reports on administrative matters. Monitor information technology infrastructure and correct gaps in clinical nurse documentation. Requirements Education Master’s Degree in Nursing Administration or a related nursing discipline required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing also acceptable. Experience Three (3) years of satisfactory nursing experience, with one (1) year in an administrative or supervisory capacity required; four (4) years of satisfactory nursing experience with two (2) years in a clinical supervisory capacity preferred. Licenses & Certifications Valid New York State license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required depending on assignment.
