Locums Hematology/Oncology Marshfield, WI (No License Required at Presentation) Why This Role

• Full-time need with flexibility for 2 Äì3 weeks per month
• Two locums may share the coverage
• Established team of three physicians and three APPs
• Cerner EMR
Assignment Details
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: Ongoing
• Preferred Commitment: Full-time
• Minimum Commitment Considered: Two to three weeks per month
• Clinic Schedule: Monday ÄìFriday, 8:00 AM Äì5:00 PM
• Lunch: One hour
• Call: 1:4 weekly beeper call
• Call Block: Friday at 7:30 AM Äìfollowing Friday at 7:30 AM
• Response Time: 30 minutes
• Phone Consults: Approximately 5 Äì10
• Patient Volume: Approximately 15 patients per shift
• Daily Call Rounding: Approximately one to two hours, Monday ÄìSunday
• Additional Weekday Rounding: 4:00 Äì5:00 PM
• Setting: Outpatient clinic and inpatient coverage
• EMR: Cerner
• Credentialing: Approximately 60 days
• Temporary Privileges: Available
• Nearest Airport: Central Wisconsin Airport
Requirements
• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Hematologist/Oncologist
• Fellowship training in both Hematology and Medical Oncology
• Medical Oncology-only training is not accepted
• Current ACLS, ATLS, and BLS
• Bone marrow biopsy proficiency required
• Experience managing acute leukemia and inpatient chemotherapy patients
• Documented experience with post-autologous stem-cell transplant and post-CAR-T patients
• Ability to use a real-time mobile timekeeping system
Clinical Details
• Provide comprehensive Hematology and Oncology clinic care
• Manage approximately 15 patients per shift
• Perform bone marrow biopsies
• Supervise chemotherapy for assigned patients
• Cover add-on consultations during weekday clinic call
• Round on acute leukemia and inpatient chemotherapy patients
• Provide post-autologous stem-cell transplant and post-CAR-T follow-up care
• Collaborate with three physicians, three APPs, RNs, MAs, navigators, infusion nurses, and Radiation Oncology
• Call is primarily telephone-based with rare in-person callbacks
