Position Summary As a Mechanical Engineer II in our Washington, D.C. office, you will help us empower clients to achieve energy‑efficient building solutions, save the global environment, and create a greener future. Responsibilities You will exercise independent judgment to develop and document system designs from concept plans and technical design criteria, interpreting and utilizing information provided in the basis of design, as well as information gathered from users, project partners, field surveys, and code research. Qualifications and Skills BSAE or BSME required. 5‑10+ years’ experience designing HVAC building systems in technically sophisticated facilities. PE License or ability to become licensed. Proficiency with engineering design programs such as Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Navisworks preferred. Understanding of applicable design codes, standards, and specification requirements, and ability to interpret them. Strong spoken and written communication skills. Excellent organization and time‑management skills. Quick technical comprehension and client‑focused motivation. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
