Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift travel position at a hospital in Carlsbad, NM, requiring a NM or Compact RN license and 2+ years of experience.

Details

• General Medical-Surgical inpatient unit with occasional non-critical pediatric patients
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Floating and on-call required; on-call is census-driven and occurs prior to shift start when census is low
• EMR: MedHost
• Scrubs: any color
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NM or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience required
• No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
• Valid driver's license required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Fingerprinting required for all travelers working in New Mexico

Additional Information

• General medical-surgical nursing duties, including occasional care of non-critical pediatric patients
• Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
• Blocked scheduling may be accommodated upon request
