As a member of our housekeeping team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team.Ensure residents' rooms are neat, clean, and free from odorWet mop floors dailyShampoo and extract carpets as per scheduleAttend to spills immediatelyEmpty trash liners and clean containersClean bed and rails with disinfectantClean all countertops, windowsills, bedside tables, furniture, and over-the-bed itemsStrip, seal, and refinish floors as per scheduleClean floor edges and corners to prevent build-upClean windows and mirrorsClean personal items, pictures, decorations, flowers, etc.Demonstrate correct safety techniquesContribute to effective communication and pleasant working conditionsComply with privacy practices and protect residents' health informationOther duties assigned by the managerial teamMinimum of one (1) year experience in housekeeping in a nursing home or other related medical facility (preferred, but not required)Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English languageAbility to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticismAbility to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general publicWillingness to work harmoniously with other personnel and handle residents based on their current maturity levelAbility to seek out and accept new methods and principles and incorporate them into existing housekeeping practicesAbility to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixture of cleaning compounds, liquids, cleaning instructions, etc.Ability to communicate information effectively to appropriate personnel regarding emergency situationsAs a member of our team, you will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential.
