Staff Attorney

Overview Join us! Verisk is excited to add a Staff Attorney to our Corporate Law Department. Reporting to the Senior Managing Counsel, this role provides advice on legal issues and exposure to product owners, data scientists, sales, operations and executives. The Staff Attorney will draft, revise, review and negotiate commercial contracts and liaise with internal business stakeholders on a variety of commercial issues (e.g., contract interpretation, compliance) to help resolve issues. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts as well as completing other ad hoc projects as assigned. Responsibilities Provide advice on legal issues related to commercial contracts and liaison with internal business stakeholders (product owners, data scientists, sales, operations and executives). Draft, revise, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and resolve issues related to contract interpretation and compliance. Complete ad hoc projects as assigned. Qualifications Experience in corporate or commercial contract law (preferred). Ability to draft, review, and negotiate contracts with attention to accuracy and risk management. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with product, data science, sales, operations, and leadership. Hybrid work schedule with expectations to work three days in the office at Verisk’s Jersey City HQ or affiliate in Lehi, UT.
