Director of Business Development

Milwaukee , WI / Minneapolis , MN / Chicago , IL Ryan Companies US, Inc. is inviting applications for the Director of Business Development to join our national Healthcare sector team. We seek a professional with at least 15 years of success working as a property or asset manager in a real estate management or property management firm, capable of leading business development, client relations, and client support across multiple regions. What You’ll Do Lead the creation and implementation of client relationship plans focused on satisfaction. Identify and create new business opportunities and revenue streams. Build internal and external relationships with property owners, brokers, tenants, and partners to support REM/RBS growth. Represent Ryan at trade organizations and within the community. Negotiate and close management agreement transactions with clients and prospects. Assist the SVP with corporate budgeting, achieving fee targets, and developing quotes, scopes, and fees for new business. Coordinate portfolio implementation of client relationships, bridging gaps among leasing, tenant improvement, completion, and occupancy. Apply market and portfolio knowledge to identify growth opportunities and strategic gaps. Contribute to strategic planning and leasing oversight, providing clients with insights to maximize value. Requirements Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Economics, or Real Estate. Completion of two professional certifications such as CCIM, CPM, or RPA. Minimum 15 years of experience as a property manager or asset manager. Proven ability to foster successful client relationships and collaborate with the brokerage community. Understanding of asset markets for new opportunity assessment. High emotional intelligence, self‑awareness, and resilience in challenging situations. Strong influence and negotiation skills. Excellent computer and financial analysis capabilities. Compensation and Benefits Base salary $145,000–$180,000 per year, with potential commission and incentive opportunities.
