Copy Of Buyer Clerk Hourly

Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital

Location: 118 S. Cypress St., Mullins, SC, 29574, United States Job Category: Administrative Support Employee Type: FT Non-Exempt Reports To Buyer Summary Assists the Buyer by compiling and maintaining records of business transactions and office activities of establishment by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Consignment releases if needed for production. Keep track of consignment orders on schedule and delivered on time. Enter schedule into planning for MRP. Print MRP and write requisitions according to demands of the MRP for raw materials and packaging materials. Enter purchase orders into ROSS system. Communicate via e‑mail or fax orders to vendors. Ensure copies of purchase order, certificates, and other information are given to required departments. Confers with vendors to obtain pricing, delivery dates, and product codes for purchase orders. Assist department with keeping COC, COA, hub zone, small business, and other items current. These items are required for audits. Assist department with keeping specifications up to date for all materials. Assist with vendor evaluations performed twice a year. Meet with contacts and vendors with discrepancies in delivery dates, quality issues, pricing, pack size/weights, and other issues. Interface with all departments to resolve problems and issues with purchased items (invoicing, receiving issues, quality control). Assist with transportation if vendors cannot provide or meet required delivery dates. Assist Marketing with research and pricing for new items. Assist R&D with research of new products, samples, etc. Copy data and compile records and reports. Operate computer terminal to input and retrieve data. Operate office machines such as adding machines, calculators, fax machines, and duplicating machines. Assist Buyer in research for new products and pricing. Assist other departments as required. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or GED; or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as Military Specifications and PCR's, Product Specifications, and procedure manuals. Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Other Qualifications Must have good phone skills and interact well with others. Must have basic knowledge of current software packages. Physical Demands / Work Environment Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required for filing documents or storing materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques required. May include lifting up to 25 pounds for files, computer printouts on occasion. The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to manufacturing areas where certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection.
