Join Our Team as a Registered Nurse in Urgent Care Job Description: - Exciting Opportunity: Be part of a dynamic team in the Urgent Care Department, providing essential care in an ambulatory setting. - Patient-Centered Care: Assist patients and collaborate with medical staff to deliver high-quality services and ensure efficient clinic operations. - Key Responsibilities: - Deliver clinical services in coordination with providers and staff. - Ensure effective resource utilization and compliance with clinic standards. - Lead the clinic staff to maintain a smooth operation, including front desk and patient care. - Maintain medication inventory and supplies, ensuring quality control in Point of Care tests. - Provide clear documentation of all care and services administered. - Open and close provider clinics efficiently. - Anticipate the needs of providers and staff to enhance patient care. - Communicate effectively with all departments to serve patients and staff alike. - Qualifications: - Must have an active, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska at the time of submission. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. - A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. - Experience: - 2 years of recent urgent care experience is essential. - Knowledge & Skills: - Proficient in the nursing process and practical application. - Strong customer service and communication skills. - Familiar with safety and infection control principles. - Abilities: - Capable of multi-tasking and thriving in a fast-paced environment. - Team-oriented with a willingness to teach and assist others. - Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills. - Physical Demands: - Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. - Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands for various tasks. Shift Information: - Urgent care operates from 8 AM to 8 PM with varying shifts. Holiday Coverage: - Required to work during holidays.
