Immigration Specialist I

General Purpose: The Immigration Specialist I supports the firm’s Immigration Practice Group by preparing and managing routine immigration filings, maintaining accurate case records, and assisting attorneys with client matters. This role is responsible for handling a high volume of detailed administrative and case-preparation work, ensuring accuracy, organization, and timely updates in LawLogix, iManage, and internal systems. The Immigration Specialist I is expected to build foundational skills in business immigration and develop independence over time. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Billable Duties/Responsibilities * Prepare routine nonimmigrant or immigrant visa petitions with attorney supervision (e.g., H-1B extensions, TN, E-3, F-1 OPT/STEM, J-1, B-1, EAD, Adjustment of Status, etc.). * Gather and organize required documents following attorney-approved checklists.

• Draft basic support letters and factual summaries based on templates.
• Prepare portions of permanent residency filings, including prevailing wage

requests, recruitment documentation, and uploading evidence.

• Conduct basic legal and immigration research as directed by attorneys.
• Assist with drafting initial responses to straightforward Requests for

Evidence (RFEs) involving factual clarifications. * Ensure accurate and timely billing in compliance with firm policies. This role typically bills approximately 800 hours per year, but hours may fluctuate based on group needs. Non-Billable Duties/Responsibilities * Update all required information, notes, and milestones in LawLogix to ensure accurate case tracking. * Run basic immigration reports (e.g., expiration reports, open cases) and identify upcoming renewals, expirations, and deadlines. * Review incoming USCIS, DOL, and DOS mail (receipts, RFEs, biometrics notices, approvals) and route documents to attorneys with summaries. * Prepare and send receipt notices, biometrics notices, approval notices, and approval packets to clients following firm workflows. * Maintain and organize digital and physical case files, ensuring all documents and correspondence are saved and tagged properly in iManage and uploaded to the N drive. * Assist with updating templates, checklists, workflows, and reference materials. * Participate in internal case meetings with attorneys and provide administrative support for client meetings. * Assist with client marketing materials and preparing information packets as needed. * Support internal compliance processes for audits, PERM recruitment documentation, and file maintenance. Job Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certification):

• At least two years of business immigration experience required.
• Additional education (associate degree, bachelor’s degree, paralegal

certificate) preferred. * Strong writing skills, excellent attention to detail, and outstanding organizational skills required.

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently with guidance.
• Strong proficiency with MS Word, Outlook, and document management systems.

Schedule: At this time, this position allows for a hybrid schedule, generally in-office three per week with Wednesday being a required day in the office. Compensation: Holland & Hart offers of employment take into consideration a candidate’s education, training, and experience, as well as the position's work location, external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees. A discretionary bonus may be available based upon performance. The Colorado salary range is $30.50 to $50.84 per hour. A discretionary bonus may be available based upon performance.
