Senior Specialist, Event Management

Overview Ready to make an impact? As a Senior Event Management Specialist, you'll lead high-visibility events that connect customers, partners, and industry leaders with the Shure brand. In your role as Senior Event Management Specialist, you will be responsible for planning and executing assigned industry tradeshows, end-user events, and dealer events. This role translates event strategy into detailed project plans, coordinates vendors and internal stakeholders, and delivers attendee-focused experiences that support customer engagement, pipeline objectives, and a consistent Shure brand experience. This role is hybrid (3 days per week onsite) in our Skokie, IL location. Responsibilities Executes attendee journeys, booth activations, and event experiences that support customer acquisition, engagement, and progression through the customer lifecycle. Translates event objectives into engaging onsite experiences, customer interactions, and activation plans that support event and business goals. Develop and implement experiential marketing concepts, booth engagement programs, demonstrations, and interactive experiences that strengthen customer engagement and differentiate Shure in the marketplace. Identifies opportunities to enhance event experiences through attendee observations, customer feedback, and industry trends. Partners with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and technical teams to execute event objectives, customer messaging, product launches, demonstrations, and engagement strategies. Ensure deliverables accurately communicate business priorities and customer value propositions. Leads day-to-day coordination with exhibit houses, production partners, and experiential vendors to execute approved booth designs, activations, and event experiences. Collaborate with the Event Manager on vendor planning, strategic decisions, and exhibit investments to ensure delivery aligns with event objectives, brand standards, and customer experience goals. Develops booth staff readiness programs, including demo scripts, messaging guides, engagement playbooks, executive briefing materials, and training sessions. Equips booth staff with the knowledge, tools, and techniques required to effectively engage attendees and communicate customer value. Leads the development and execution of product demonstrations and experiential activations. Works closely with product and technical teams to ensure demonstrations effectively showcase solutions, address customer challenges, and support event objectives. Ensures consistent execution of Shure brand standards, messaging, and customer experience principles across all assigned events. Performs other duties as assigned including evaluates attendee engagement, booth effectiveness, customer feedback, and activation performance to identify lessons learned and recommend improvements for future events and experiences. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience planning and executing events or tradeshow management. Strong experience with technical products or background in audio and networked IT components are a benefit. Superior project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks with multiple teams at the same time. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate constructive discussion and challenge opposing viewpoints diplomatically. Proficiency with MS Office Suite. Knowledge of Salesforce and Pardot is a plus. Pro-active, self-motivated and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Excel at taking initiative, working independently, and seeing projects through to successful completion. PAY TRANSPARENCY Shure offers a competitive compensation structure that is reviewed annually to attract, hire, and retain the industry’s top talent. Base salaries vary based on qualifications, geography, experience, and expertise in each respective discipline. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base salary for the opportunity. The base salary for this position ranges from $86,800 to $138,900.
