Job Title: Restaurant Manager Reports to: Owner Job Summary: The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire restaurant operations, including staffing, training, customer service, inventory management, budgeting, and maintaining the establishment's high standards of food quality and cleanliness. The manager ensures the restaurant runs efficiently, maintains profitability, and upholds a positive dining experience for guests. Key Responsibilities: 1. Staff Management: o Hire, train, and supervise restaurant staff, including servers, cooks, and cleaners. o Create and maintain work schedules for all restaurant employees. o Ensure all staff members provide excellent customer service and adhere to company standards. o Handle conflict resolution and provide coaching and feedback to employees. 2. Customer Service: o Oversee customer service and ensure all guests have a positive experience. o Handle customer complaints, concerns, and special requests professionally. o Maintain a welcoming and clean atmosphere to ensure a high-quality dining experience. 3. Operations and Inventory Management: o Monitor inventory levels of food, beverages, and restaurant supplies, ensuring timely ordering and stock management. o Ensure proper food safety standards and cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas. o Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation standards. o Track and manage food and beverage costs to maintain profitability. o Oversee the kitchen operations and support kitchen staff in busy times 4. Financial Management: o Develop and maintain budgets, ensuring operational costs are managed effectively. o Monitor sales and adjust operations to meet financial targets. 5. Compliance and Safety: o Ensure that the restaurant adheres to all local health, safety, and sanitation regulations. o Conduct regular safety checks and address any health violations. o Ensure the restaurant follows all labor laws, including employee hours and payroll. 6. Marketing and Promotion: o Collaborate with marketing and PR teams to develop and execute promotional strategies. Qualifications: • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality management or a related field is preferred. • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the restaurant industry, with at least 1 year in a managerial or supervisory role. • Skills: o Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. o Excellent problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused mindset. o Proficient in restaurant management software (POS, scheduling, inventory). o Basic knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control. Work Environment: • Fast-paced, high-energy environment. • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. • Physical demands may include standing for long periods, lifting heavy items, and moving throughout the restaurant.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $47,840.00 per year
