About the job Estimator - Electrical/Manufacturing Estimator - Electrical / Manufacturing Industry Salary: $90,000 annually Job Type: Full-time | On-site Position Overview The Estimator is responsible for preparing detailed material takeoffs and cost estimates for industrial, electrical, and manufacturing projects. This role requires the ability to interpret complex 2D/3D drawings, analyze specifications, and collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure accurate project pricing and documentation. Key Responsibilities Review and interpret 2D/3D CAD drawings, specifications, and RFQs. Develop accurate material takeoffs and cost estimates for electrical and mechanical systems. Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing, lead times, and technical data. Coordinate with Sales, Finance, and Operations to align on scope, budgets, and schedules. Support bid proposals, cost analysis, and value‑engineering initiatives. Ensure compliance with company quality, safety, and environmental standards. Maintain cost databases and assist in process improvements related to estimating accuracy and efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field. Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical construction, switchgear, or industrial estimating. Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
