Vice President, Human Resources – Community Medical Center Location: 99 HIGHWAY 37 WEST, TOMS RIVER, NJ 08755 Department: HR - CMC Pay Range: $220,000.00 - $320,000.00 per year Reports To: Senior Vice President, Human Resources, RWJBarnabas Health (matrixed to President and CEO) Job Overview The Vice President of Human Resources directs all people functions at the Community Medical Center, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission, policies, and applicable regulations. The VP collaborates with HR Leadership and HR Centers of Expertise to develop strategic plans that attract, retain, and develop talent and position the organization as an employer of choice. The role serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, prioritizes business goals, improves employee retention, and fosters an effective organizational design. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in business or human resources management required. Master’s Degree preferred. Minimum 8 years of HR experience, including at least 3 years of senior HR management; substantial healthcare experience preferred. Proven time‑management and decision‑making skills under competing timelines. Demonstrated influence on human‑capital decisions in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment. Leadership, people, and change‑management experience. Strong planning, communication, and organizational skills. Track record of fostering an accountable culture while enhancing employee experience. Essential Functions Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and evaluate the site’s HR function and performance. Participate in organization‑wide planning as a strategic partner. Translate enterprise‑driven initiatives into local tactical operations. Develop staffing strategies, succession plans, and talent pipelines with HR Centers of Expertise. Partner with SVP HR and CPO to promote employee motivation and engagement. Align HR and operational strategies with the local culture. Implement workforce planning, talent management, training, and development programs. Act as trusted advisor, effective listener, and problem solver of people issues. Drive policy adherence and escalation of expertise. Implement and monitor HR policies and procedures. Senior advisor and expert in employee relations. Ensure compliance with regional budgets and drive fiscal responsibility. Provide feedback to SVP HR and CPO for continuous improvement. Evaluate and manage the site HR team for efficiency and effectiveness. Maintain compliance with all policies, laws, and regulations. Communicate consistently and transparently with the workforce.
